I’ve made this twice now this Fall with apples from our Camp (golden delicious.) Excellent and very easy recipe!

The second time I made it I forgot to add the vanilla & salt, but even though I forgot it – it still tastes great!

Dorothy – is there a particular reason why it needs added so late? Love your recipes!

Really good recipe and I tweeted a bit. I used maple syrup for some of the white sugar. I used a 1/4 of a cup of white sugar and 3 tablespoon of maple syrup

While I didn’t use the same amounts of spices, I did use the same ratio of apples and sugar….and used the same process from beginning to end. This is incredibly easy, no constant watching and the timing is pretty well spot on. My first batch has just finished and this will be my go to in the future. Thank you so much for a great recipe and technique.
