This Peanut Butter Caramel Dip for apples has only three ingredients and is perfect for after school snacks or a lunchbox treat! It takes no time at all to make and is the perfect sweet dip for sliced apples. Also – PEANUT BUTTER. Enough said, right?

A hand dips a fresh apple slice into a bowl of creamy caramel sauce, surrounded by more apple slices on a white plate. Wrapped caramel candies are visible in the background.

Have you ever bought those little packs of caramel dip and apples? Well, when you see how easy it is to make the dip from scratch you won’t need to buy them again! This caramel apple dip is so easy to make and is the best dip for sliced apples.

It’s great during the fall when apples are in season, but I make it all year because I can’t wait until the fall season to have it! If you’ve never made your own apple dip you are in for a treat.

I used to buy those store-bought apples and caramel dip packs but, dang, they’re expensive! Not to mention that they’re made with a lot more ingredients than this homemade version I’m sharing. It’s so easy and you can use reusable snack containers to store it as a grab-and-go snack.

Three clear bowls on a white surface: one with caramels, one with peanut butter, and one with sweetened condensed milk. Each bowl is labeled with its contents in bold black text.

3 Ingredient Caramel Dip

  • Caramel squares or bits (be sure to unwrap them if they’re wrapped caramels)
  • Heavy whipping cream – no substitute for this, if you want the dip to be smooth.
  • Creamy peanut butter– not natural – it won’t melt properly.

These three ingredients combined together make the best caramel dip. It has a perfect dippable texture.

Click to see the recipe card below for full ingredients & instructions and below the recipe card for process shots.

Sliced red apples arranged around a bowl of caramel dip on a white plate, with a spoon and part of an apple visible in the background.

Serving Suggestions

You can serve the dip warm with sliced apples or cool it and store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container.

Sliced apples are the obvious choice because they pair perfectly with the caramel. Just like a caramel apple but so much easier to eat!

Use whichever apple you like the best, but I tend to use Granny Smith apples because their tart flavor pairs perfectly with the caramel.

But don’t stop there! Serve it with other fruit like strawberries, sliced bananas, pears or other fruit that you like.

It’s also great with pretzels and cookies like vanilla wafers, gingersnaps, and graham crackers.

Pput together a dessert dip platter with the caramel apple dip and a mix of dippers to go with it and let everyone choose their own!

FAQs

How Long Does Caramel Apple Dip Last?

It will keep well for up to a week in the refrigerator unless you’re like us and eat it all in the first day.

How much dip does this make?

This apple dip recipe makes approximately two cups, which I like to divide into smaller servings in containers. It makes it really easy to just grab one as a snack!

I turned Strawberry Pretzel Salad into an easy, fast, and delicious DIP recipe! Strawberry Pretzel Dip is a fluffy sweet cream cheese dip with tons of strawberry flavor and it’s perfect for dipping pretzels!

A white bowl filled with creamy pink Strawberry Pretzel Salad Dip topped with cherry sauce sits on a plate surrounded by mini pretzels. In the background, theres a small bowl of cherry sauce and a few scattered pretzels on a light-colored surface.

Somehow we entered a time warp back in January and when we stepped out it was mid-May. I’m not quite sure how that happened but Memorial Day is right around the corner. After that, summer and with it pool parties, BBQs, the 4th of July…all times when you need lots of potluck ready appetizers and desserts that are no-bake, easy, and fast.

This Strawberry Pretzel Salad Dip fits all of those requirements. Especially the one where it’s good for a party. It’s perfect for a backyard BBQ, a potluck or just because you love cream cheese dip or strawberry pretzel salad!

A photo showcases ingredients for a Strawberry Pretzel Salad Dip: a plate of cream cheese, a bowl of pretzels, a dish of vanilla extract, a tub of Cool Whip, strawberry pie filling, and sugar, all neatly labeled.

Ingredient Notes

I daresay, the actual salad recipe is pretty easy but this dip? Is even easier. Just a few simple ingredients get mixed together and it’s ready to serve.

The classic Strawberry Pretzel Salad recipe includes cream cheese, whipped topping, and sugar. Then it’s topped with strawberries and jell-o and it’s all on top of a pretzel crust.

This recipe is very similar. The base of the dip is the same as the middle of that layered dessert. Cream cheese, sugar, and whipped topping are mixed together (you could substitute whipped cream). Then, instead of using jell-o, I used strawberry pie filling. Just swirl some in and add some to the top for garnish.

Instead of making crust, you just serve this with pretzels. Or a spoon. I won’t judge.

How to make Strawberry Pretzel Dip Tips

  • Make sure your cream cheese is softened so you don’t have lumps.
  • I love cool whip but you could use 3 cups of freshly whipped cream instead.
  • You can find strawberry pie filling in the baking aisle, near the pie crusts and other pie fillings.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. If using cool whip you can freeze the dip also!

This Walnut Butter is an easy nut butter that can be made with any kind of nuts. Peanut butter is great, but switch up your breakfast spread with and use walnuts instead. This recipe has just 3 ingredients and takes about 5 minutes to make!

walnut butter in a clear jar with a spoon scooping it out.

Homemade Nut Butter

Sure you can spend a fortune to buy walnut butter (or cashew butter) at the store, but why? You can make it at home SO easily with just 3 ingredients. This same method can be used to make almond butter or pecan butter too – or even peanut butter!

walnuts in a clear bowl.

Ingredients Needed

  • Walnuts: Walnuts are a perfect option, but you could substitute your favorite nut.
  • Maple Syrup: Acts as a sweetener for the butter – you can also use honey or agave.
  • Salt: Adds some extra needed flavor – don’t add too much – a little bit at a time so you don’t over power the butter. You can use table, kosher, or sea salt.
  • You could also add in some flavoring – like a bit of cinnamon, if you want.

How to Make Nut Butter

  • I like to toast my walnuts before making nut butter. Place the raw walnuts in a single layer in a frying pan and heat over medium-low heat for a few minutes, stirring often, until you smell them. Don’t walk away from the stove! Learn all about how to toast nuts.
  • You’ll need a food processor or high-speed blender. Just add the walnuts and blend until smooth – use a rubber spatula to scrape the sides of the food processor occasionally. Once it becomes thick, keep running the processor and it will smooth out into a natural nut butter consistency.
walnut butter spread on a cracker.

Ways to use Walnut Butter

Homemade nut butter is great on bagels or toast for breakfast, as a topping for pancakes or waffles, crackers or even on banana slices. I also add it to oatmeal to add some extra protein and omega-3 fats to my breakfast – or swirl it into ice cream!

Expert Tips

  • I toast my nuts because raw walnuts bother my mouth – but if you don’t have that problem you can skip that step.
  • Depending on the power and speed of your blender or processor, it could take up to 8-10 minutes to fully blend and make a creamy nut butter.
  • Walnuts can get a sort of bitterness to them, which is why I like to add some sweetness and a bit of salt. Drizzle just a bit of honey or your desired sweetener into the mixer and taste as you go so you don’t add too much.
  • How much nut butter does this recipe make? 2 cups of walnuts make approximately 1 cup of walnut butter.
  • Store the walnut butter in a jar or airtight container in the refrigerator.

Walnut Butter Recipe

Homemade Walnut Butter, made with maple syrup! Maple Walnut Butter is great on toast…or just on a spoon!
Course Dessert
Cuisine American
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 16 servings (1 cup total)
Calories 123kcal
Cost 6

Ingredients

Walnut Butter

  • 2 cups (217g) walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (see note)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (to taste, see note)

Instructions

  • To toast walnuts (this is optional, but I like my walnuts toasted), place them in a frying pan over low heat. Cook for a few minutes, stirring almost constantly. As soon as you notice little brown spots and/or smell the walnuts, remove from heat and place on a plate to cool. Make sure they are almost completely cool before continuing.
  • Place walnuts in a food processor. Process for about 1 minute, then stir and add a bit of salt and maple syrup. Continue processing until the mixture becomes thick then thins out (the oils in the nuts magically thin the butter). Scrape the sides of the processor during mixing. Taste and add more salt and/or maple syrup to taste.
  • Store in refrigerator; makes 1 cup.

Notes

  • Salt is subjective – and you don’t want it to be too salty. Start with a bit and add more to taste.
  • Same goes for the maple syrup (or honey) – start with 1 tablespoon and add more as desired.
  • If your nut butter ends up too salty – add a bit more syrup. Same goes vice versa – too sweet? Add a bit more salt.

What is Snickers Dip?

This is an easy dip made of melted snickers. I melted snickers and then folded them into a cream cheese dip. I also chopped them and added them in after too! Every bite will come with sweet and delicious snickers candy. It’s the perfect apple dip or sweet dip recipe.

Dips are the best recipe to make for any party, get together, or pot luck. You can dip so many different things in them and they are so easy to make. If you need an appetizer on a time crunch – this is the recipe for you!

ingredients in snickers dip laid out on a marble counter.

  • Cream Cheese: This is the base of the dip – make sure it’s softened.
  • Marshmallow Fluff: Adds a nice texture and some extra sweetness to the dip. We love adding marshmallow creme to recipes.
  • Powdered Sugar: This is also called confectioners sugar and will add some extra sweetness to the dip.

Caramel Mocha Cheesecake Dip

Cheesecake dips like this one are so light and fluffy, and they can have so many different flavors! This one is sweetened with my favorite creamer: Salted Caramel Mocha! I love adding coffee creamer to recipes to add tons of flavor – I’ve done it so many times! With the addition of hot fudge and caramel and a bit of instant coffee to punch up the mocha flavor, I think this is my favorite invention yet!

Aside from eating this recipe with a spoon, there are so many great dippers to choose from! Fruit, like apple slices or strawberries, pair great with the chocolate and caramel. You can also use your favorite cracker, pretzels, or cookies. Make this appetizer for any party or potluck and add it to a snack board!

Ingredients Needed

  • Cream Cheese: Make sure it’s softened. Regular block cream cheese is best.
  • Coffee Creamer: Use your favorite brand (and flavor) coffee creamer
  • Hot Fudge: Buy hot fudge ice cream topping from the store, or make my homemade recipe!
  • Caramel: Buy store-bought caramel sauce or make my homemade caramel sauce recipe!
  • Espresso Powder: Optional. If you don’t want any caffeine, you can leave it out.

  • Dippers: Like Walkers Shortbread Cookies or other dippers – if you can find waffle cone pieces, those are super similar to cannoli shells.

How to Make Homemade Cannoli Dip

  • Beat cream cheese until smooth using a hand mixer. Mix in ricotta cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Stir in chocolate chips. The mixture will be a bit lumpy from the ricotta cheese.
  • Serve in a bowl with cookies for dipping.
  • Optional: make shortbread cookie sandwiches by filling two cookies with the cream.
cannoli dip in a blue bowl with orange cookie wafers next to the bowl.

Expert Tip

  • The best things to dip in this recipe would be: Walkers Shortbread Cookies, Nilla Wafers, graham crackers, chocolate chip cookies, or any other cracker or cookie! Even strawberries or apples would taste good!
  • Make a cookie sandwich with leftover dip! Take two cookies and sandwich some of this dip in the middle–it is so good!
  • Do not use low fat ricotta or low fat cream cheese – these are thinner and will cause the dip to be too wet.
  • Decorate the top with some chopped pistachios for an even more authentic look.

FAQs

How long will cannoli dip last?

Store this in the refrigerator in an airtight container and it will last about 3 days.

Should I strain the ricotta cheese for cannoli?

You don’t have to for the dip but if you want it to last longer or be thicker, then strain it. Place 3 layers of paper towels or a cheesecloth in a strainer and add the ricotta, let it sit for a few hours until the water drains out.

Easy Cheeseball Recipe

If you need a recipe to add to your dessert board during the holiday season, don’t overlook this one. They are the perfect bite-size appetizer that meets dessert and they are so easy to make! If you need them day of–this is the recipe for you!

You do not even have to turn the oven on if you don’t want to, all you need is a fridge! Dessert cheeseballs are the best – once you chill them for a half hour, they are good to go! They are mess free too because I stuck a pretzel rod in each one so they are easy to pick up. Everyone who has one will be asking for the recipe–I promise!

Ingredients Needed

  • Cream Cheese: This is the base of your cheese balls – make sure it’s softened.
  • Peanut Butter: Creamy or chunky, your choice, but don’t use a natural peanut butter, only one that is no stir.
  • Graham Cracker Crumbs: These help bind the peanut butter balls.
  • Powdered Sugar: Make sure you don’t pack your confectioners’ sugar.
  • Sprinkles: Chocolate and colorful! Whatever you’d like to use!
  • Pretzel Rods: Makes them easy to eat – no toothpicks needed.

How to make Peanut Butter Bites

  • Mix cream cheese, and peanut butter until mixed. Mix in graham cracker crumbs and vanilla extract. Add powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon milk; mix until combined.
  • Scoop 1 tablespoon sized balls onto a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Roll each ball with your hands, then roll in sprinkles. The sprinkles won’t want to stick, so you need to press and roll at the same time, then re-roll the ball between your hands.
  • Place a pretzel stick in each ball. Chill for at least 30 minutes before picking them up by the pretzel rod.

  • You can also dip these in chocolate to make a truffle if you want!

This Pecan Pie Dip takes a classic pecan pie, removes the crust, and then serves it as a dip! Basically it’s a Crustless Pecan Pie that I just wanted to eat with a spoon straight from the pan … but you can also use cookies as dippers.

Crustless Pecan Pie

Do you not like pie crust? Or do you need a fun dip on the side? This recipe works perfect for both situations! Not only is it delicious, but it is gluten free as well! It is a pecan pie, minus the crust that you can eat with a spoon or dip some fun sides into! For instance, I love to dip shortbread cookies into this recipe to bring back in some elements of a pie crust. This being said, you can dip anything you want into the pecan pie dip: like a spoon!

Ingredients Needed

  • Eggs: Eggs give pecan pie filling it’s custard-like texture.
  • Dark Corn Syrup: I love using the Karo brand. Dark corn syrup is traditional in pecan pie, but light may be substituted.
  • Butter: You’ll want your butter melted.
  • Pecan Halves: Halves look prettier but chopped pecans are easier for dipping – do what you prefer.
  • Assorted dippers: Pie crust dippers, shortbread cookies, or graham crackers or whatever you like.

How to make The Best Pecan Pie Dip

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9” or a 9.5” pie plate with cooking spray.
  • Lay 2 cups pecan halves in the bottom of the pie plate.
  • Whisk eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, and salt in a large bowl. Pour into prepared pan. Tap the pan on the counter a few times to raise the pecans up to the top.
  • Bake for about 35 minutes, until the center is only slightly jiggly when pan is gently shaken. Cool slightly before serving.

Expert Tips

  • Make sure it is cooled a bit before serving!

  • To make pie crust dippers: cut 2″ circles of pie crust, sprinkle each with a pinch of sugar and bake until golden, 14-18 minutes.

Easy Caramel Cheesecake Dip

I love dessert dips a ton because they are so versatile! You could put the dip out at a party, on a dessert board, or just have it for an afternoon snack! On top of that, you get to pick out your dippers! For this recipe specifically, I love to dip apples. Apples and caramel are the quintessential pairing and they’re perfect for the fall. If apples aren’t your thing, dip pretzels, crackers, fruit or cookies for this amazing recipe!

Ingredients Needed

  • Cream Cheese: You can use regular or reduced fat and it needs to be room temperature.
  • Coffee Creamer: Use the flavor of your choosing.
  • Cool Whip: You can substitute freshly whipped cream if you prefer.
  • Caramel Ice Cream Topping: I love my homemade caramel recipe, but you can of course use store-bought as well.

How to make Caramel Cheesecake Dip

  • Beat cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth. Beat in coffee creamer and vanilla. Mix until no lumps remain. Stir in Cool Whip. Chill until ready to serve.
  • Layer the cheesecake dip in a serving bowl with caramel sauce between the layers and more drizzled on top. If your caramel sauce comes in a jar, put some in a ziploc bag with the tip cut off to drizzle it.
  • Serve with graham crackers or fruit, it’s especially good with apples.
